Good evening Bulldog families!
It’s been another wonderful week at McKenney-Harrison Elementary! We want to extend a big thank you to our local Auburn Firefighters for visiting our classrooms this past week. Our students loved learning about fire safety and the important work our firefighters do to keep our community safe.
We’d also like to give a shout-out to our students for handling the time change so well—you’ve shown great flexibility and positive attitudes all week long!
As we move into the months of November and December, our Portrait of a Baron skill will focus on Empathy. We’ll be looking for students who show kindness, understanding, and compassion toward others both inside and outside the classroom.
Congratulations to this week’s Portrait of a Baron Students of the Week: Harper Day, Nova Dantzer, Ava Saylor, Owen Carnahan, Otis Myers, Lincoln Walter, Kaelee Wright, and Laney Renfrow! We are proud of you for setting such a positive example for your peers.
Please join us on Tuesday morning for a special Veterans Day Breakfast as we honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country. To all of our veterans and active service members, thank you for your dedication, courage, and sacrifice.
Looking ahead, there will be a PTO meeting on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m., and all are welcome to attend. We value your ideas and participation as we continue to make MCK a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Finally, on Thursday, the Supershot Flu/Mist Clinic will be set up at McKenney-Harrison from 2:30–4:00 p.m. for anyone needing their annual flu shot.
It’s another busy week full of gratitude, learning, and community here at MCK—thank you for all you do to make our Bulldog family so special!
