The students in Room 14 have been transitioning quickly into the new school year as fifth graders. Not only have they created their own Classroom Code of Conduct, but they have decided upon the class vision, as well: “Everybody works their hardest each and every day.”
In Writing, the students have been gathering seed ideas for later projects. Whole number and decimal place value has been the focus of learning in Math. As readers, they have been building stamina and responding to literature both orally and in writing. In addition, the students have been busy practicing some newly acquired geographical skills.
Many beginning of the year assessments have been completed, as well. Whew! What a busy two weeks!
