We have had an amazing Rockstar school year! As we finish up the year, we are focusing on some really rockin’ nonfiction texts!  We are diving into topics from plate tectonics to animal shelters. We are still continuing to work on all those five parts of reading include, phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. In math, we are bumping up the rigor. We are exploring everything from multiplication to square roots!

The students are really proud of all they are accomplishing. Several students this year are now on grade level with their fluency and or benchmarking! Several reading groups boast that they have learned the most amount of sight words so far with over 200 sight words in their knowledge banks. In math, a couple of students get bragging rights that they have reached some of the highest level s in their rocket math.

I can’t express enough how proud I am of all of the students and all that they have accomplished!
