Kindergarten Learns Collaboration
Mrs. Carrie Bennett
One of the favorite things for kindergarten children to do throughout the school year is work together in a partnership or small group. Working collaboratively is a challenging task to master. Students must trust their partner(s), be able to coach/teach one another, and provide a positive work environment for all students in the partnerships! Two examples of collaboration within our kindergarten class are buddy reading and partner flashcards for word wall words or math facts. During Friendship February, our class worked collaboratively with Mrs. Foster’s 3rd graders to complete a video slideshow about the meaning of friendship.
