How do you identify a problem?  In Mrs. Pinnington’s class, they use data to get to the bottom of it.  After keeping a few weeks of data on talking, behavior, and off-task marks, the class determined that the number of marks was way too high. They had many conversations about how many marks are acceptable and what percentage to set the bar. The students decided on a goal. They decided the goal should be 85% or higher of students with zero marks for 3 consecutive days. Well…they did it…the FIRST 3 consecutive days! When they reach a goal, they set another!  The next time they said 4 days!  They got it again! The class is working on their next goal of 5 consecutive days!  They have not gone under 85% in weeks!  Way to go Mrs. Pinnington’s class!  Your hard work is paying off!
